As we approach the start of the season, here are some updates and friendly reminders!

Kick-Off Meetings – THIS Sunday, 9/10
Parents, please join us for our BBD Kick-Off Meetings, Sunday, 9/10 at the YMCA. If more than one category applies to you, please attend the meeting time that works best.
- Noon-1:30 – Parents of new swimmers (9 and up)
- 1:30-3:00 – Parents of eight and unders
- 3:00 4:30 – Parents of returning swimmers

2023-24 Practice Schedule
The practice schedule for the season is posted on our website under the “Practice Info” tab. Practices will begin the week of September 18th, and more information on the first day for each age group will be shared next week. Please note that we will update the website weekly with any changes to the normal schedule.

2023-24 Meet Schedule
Also on the website you will find the meet schedule for the 2023-24 season, under the “Meets” tab . While there may be some changes or additions along the way, this should be pretty close to complete. Swimmers must participate in a total of THREE YMCA regular season meets (October thru January) along with any championship meets for which they qualify which includes Clusters (2/9-2/11) for all swimmers and the 8 and Under State Meet (2/24) for all 8 and under swimmers. Some meets have qualifying times as indicated in the meet schedule grid. We are in the process of securing hotel blocks for travel meets. We will discuss meets and meet entries further at the meetings this weekend.

BBD Hosted Meet – 10/28-29
As previously communicated, the first YMCA Meet of the season will be hosted by our team 10/28-29 at Lake Orion High School. We expect BBD swimmers to participate in this meet and for parents to be available to volunteer. More information on how to sign up for this meet and volunteer opportunities will be shared at the kick-off meetings.

Team Communication
Our website is the best place to find answers to most questions and we are still in the process of updating it with information for this season. We will frequently send email with important information, along with text messages in the event of last minute practice changes. Please be sure to read our emails and check the website frequently, especially as we begin opening meets for entries.

Jump Start Clinics
Please remember there is no Jump Start practice this evening, 9/8 due to a school event at Cranbrook. Next week is the last week of Jump Start.

We will have lots of additional information to share this weekend, along with an opportunity for Q &A. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!
