As previously communicated, 2023-24 Season registration will open for returning swimmers who competed the 2022-23 season on Tuesday, June 18th at noon when a link will be emailed to our 2022-23 parents. These returning swimmers will have until July 31st to reserve a spot on the team. Siblings of swimmers who completed the 2022-23 season may also register during this window. We will open any remaining spots on the team beginning on Monday, August 7th.

Once again, there will be a 2-step registration process for BBD. Detailed instructions on how to register may be found on our website under the “Registration” tab. It will be helpful to make sure that you remember how to log-in to your BBD Active account (same as “Parent Portal” log-in used for meet entries). Please DO NOT create a new BBD Active account as our system recognize your swimmer as a new athlete and make it difficult for times from last year to transfer into next year. When you receive the link to complete the YMCA registration, you will need to remember your YMCA Active account log-in. Your spot on the team is not reserved until you have completed both steps.

Pricing for BBD will remain the same as 2022-23 with the exception of the Activity Fee which has been increased to $130. We are still waiting for information from USA swimming on their registration process and fee for 2023-24. Please note that a USA swimming fee of approximately $80 to $100 will be charged at a later date.

Finally, we reserve the right to cancel the registration of any swimmer who has been notified that they do not qualify for returning swimmer status. Additionally, we will cancel the registration of any new swimmer who attempts to register with returning swimmers. Thank you for your cooperation and support with this policy.

We look forward to welcoming our swimmers back to the pool in September! Please stay tuned for information on our Jump Start clinics which will be available for registration in early August.

Dear BBD Parents,

The Fourth of July has passed and I know you are all busy with summer swimming and other activities. From all reports, BBD swimmers are lighting it up in NSSL, MICSA and SICSA competitions. Shortly, you will be able to register your swimmer(s) for the 2023-24 BBD Season. If your swimmer fulfilled all of their obligations to the team (regular practice attendance, meet requirements, and attendance at championship meets) then you will be able to reserve a spot for them for the upcoming season when returning swimmer registration opens on Tuesday, July 18th. Also, any siblings who would like to join us may register at this time. More information on registration will be shared soon.

Demand for our program is extremely high, but unfortunately pool time is limited and coaches are scarce. We want to accommodate as many committed swimmers as we can.

Good afternoon,

We have been informed that Livonia has canceled all outdoor activities tomorrow due to air quality concerns. Therefore, our morning Long Course practice at Botsford will be canceled tomorrow, June 29th and we will run one combined practice at BOH for all registered 13 and Ups from 6:15 to 8:15.

Also, some reminders about upcoming practice cancelations:
-Saturday, 7/1 @ Botsford canceled due to Namesnik Meet
- Monday, 7/3 – All practices canceled
- Tuesday, 7/4 – All practice canceled

Practice at Cranbrook will be canceled tonight, Monday June 26th, due to a biohazard incident on campus today. Thank you.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not have access to the Botsford pool until next week. For those registered for the Long Course “Add On” program, the first practice at Botsford will be Tuesday, June 20th. Those swimmers will attend BOH practices this week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
